Download Accelerator Plus is configured by default to download the most common file types. However, as new file types become available it is necessary to define their extensions to enable DAP to identify them.

1. In DAP's main window, select the Options menu and choose Preferences. The preferences window appears.
2. Under the configuration tree, click General to display the General window.
3. The extensions of the file types that are automatically downloaded appear in the box at the bottom of the screen. You may delete any of the extensions, or add new ones by entering an alphanumeric string in capital letters with a single space between each type of extension.
   Note: you may use wild cards when adding new file extensions, such as R0* or A1* and so on.
   To return to the default extension values click 'Default'.
4. DAP supports automatic document downloading, in case you want to downloads documents locally in stead of opening them remotely. To enable automatic documents download check the Automatically start downloading document extensions.
   As with the file extensions you may add delete or change any document extension or return to DAP's default by pressing the 'Default' button.
