Notice that the "file download" window was replaced by DAP’s enhanced "Start Download" window. Just click "Start Download" immediately or check out the additional information (server quality, file size, etc.),
Here you can see the progress & speed of your current download, as well as change the "save to" location of the file.
A great part of the acceleration gained by using DAP, is due to fact that it "breaks-up" the file into a number of smaller chunks. These chunks are then downloaded separately at greater speed and then reassembled to form the complete file.
DAP uses advanced auto-trigger to download the files you want while browsing the internet.
If for some reason, you want DAP to download a file that it wouldn't normally auto-trigger, simply right click the link to that file, and choose "Download with DAP" from the menu
The Main window starts on the Downloads tab, which shows all your currents downloads, their status and progress. Alternately, the Completed Downloads tab shows all the files that finished downloading.
Double clicking them allows you to open or run the file your downloaded. Both the Downloads and Completed Download tabs offer numerous sorting and filtering methods to help you view and reach the files you want.
On the right pane of the main window, you can find additional information on each file, as well as post and read reviews on the file you are downloading at FileRatings.com.
You can summon the Main window anytime by double clicking the small DAP tray icon on the taskbar.
You can right click the small DAP tray icon on the taskbar, and temporarily disable DAP if you wish to download a file in the old-fashioned (and much slower) way. TO re-enable DAP again, right click the tray icon once more and choose Enable from the menu.
