Integrating Anti-Virus into DAP
You may select files that have been downloaded and scan them - inoculating, fixing or quarantining them, depending on results of the virus scan. The option can only be enabled if an existing anti-virus program is associated with DAP.
How to associate an anti-virus program with DAP:
- In DAP's main window, select the 'Tools' menu and click on 'Options'. The DAP 'Configuration' window will open.
- Choose 'Download Completion' from DAP's 'Configuration' menu and the 'Download Completion' dialog box will appear.
- Check the 'Check for viruses' box to Verify that Virus Checking is enabled and click the 'Browse' button (to find your anti-virus' .exe file: i.e. nav.exe) thus, to associate the desired anti-virus program with DAP. Select the virus program you wish to and click 'Close'.
